Excellence in Real Estate

Understand the process.

Buying real estate is a complex matter and can be especially confusing for the first-time homebuyer. Do yourself a favor and learn as much about the process as you can before you begin. Also ask questions of your Realtor, banker and other professionals. Currently it's a great time to be a first time home buyer! Starting January 2009 you can get up to $8,000 back on a purchase this year!

Use a REALTOR(R).

As a buyer, it usually costs nothing to hire a real estate professional to help you find and purchase a home--your Realtor will likely get a portion of the commission the seller pays to his Realtor. When choosing an agent, ask for referrals. Choose someone you trust and can work with. Find out what areas they cover and what experience they have selling real estate. Make sure they work in real estate full time.
